May Day dawned bright and sunny so we set out for an unspoilt beach on the South coast. As it is unspoilt I am not saying where it is - we want to keep it that way! However there are some clues in the blog and it is in the Rethymnon area!
Teddy points the way -
I think he missed the turning for Matala!
Dark sand and pebbles
Blue sea
Huge boulders ( the islets give a clue to the general area!)
There is a taverna by the beach, much frequented by Greek families
No sunbeds, no umbrellas, no music
Clear water
Another clue - on the way back we stopped to take photos of this wonderful war memorial
What an amazing sculpture
