We are used to seeing all sorts of watersports taking place off the coast of Crete in the Summer
... and on the lake!
But what was going on this week off Kalyves?
The answer was, the first annual Aegean Winter Kayak race organised by Apokoronas council in collaboration with the Naval club of Chania and the Periferia of Chania.
The competitors were blessed with fine weather and calm seas
It was over two days Chania to Souda and Souda to Kalyves
Well done to all involved. Looking forward to next year!
