Pink Mountains and Pink Almond Blossom

The sunrise in the early morning turns the white mountains pink.

Whilst down here in the lower area of the island the roads are lined with glorious pink Almond blossom

They range from palest pink to a deep rose

Contrasting with the blue of the skies

The abundance of Almond trees is due to their hardy, prickly nature which makes them ideal for farmers to use as hedging

The fields are full

They are buzzing with bees and the smell of the blossom is amazing. Spring is here.
