The Christmas lights are shining out. Wrapping up against the warm and dosing ourselves up - as we are both down with colds - we visited Chania on Thursday evening, expecting a Christmas buzz as there are only three days to Christmas.
The lights were beautiful and many shops open - but once again not many shoppers. This may've been be partly because of the biting wind, but mostly I suspect due to the current financial difficulties that many people are suffering.
