A winter warmer Meatballs with tomato, mushrooms and peppers

Meatballs in Tomato Sauce
Minced meat - half pork, half beef.
V. finely chopped, or minced onions
Mixed peppers
Mushrooms
Cumin, pepper, garlic salt, chopped mint.


Quarter the mushrooms - or slice
Chop the peppers into large pieces
 Mix all the other ingredients together. Make balls or sausage shapes. 
Roll in flour then half fry so they keep their shape while cooking


For the sauce


Chopped onions, Gently fried.
Add mushrooms and peppers and mix well
Add All spice  a lot of garlic, pepper, bay leaf, mint, orange peel.
Add a cup of chopped tomatoes - or a tin
Cook on a high heat to separate oil and boil off juices to thicken.
Add a raki glass of ouzo if liked. Mix well
Add the meatballs - be careful of stirring from now on.
Add oregano, thyme and a little water.
Simmer with the lid on for 45 minutes.

Serve with Spaghetti, rice or potatoes
