Valentino's

The summer season is coming to a close and most of the tavernas will be closed by next week.
We decided to visit "Valentino's" in Georgioupolis while it was still open.

we parked by the harbour and walked up the road to Valentino's

There was a large selection to choose from. We ordered

Crispy fried mushrooms

Cretan salad, which included eggs and paximadi, topped off with Mizithra cheese (my favourite)

We watched the mood rising in the sky.

Swordfish with salad and rice

Tasty beef stifado

With roast potatoes on the side

The moon and the street light mirrored each other

Complementary creme brûlée

Fred tested the tsigoudia

You may like to know:

Service: Pleasant and friendly. The young lad helping out seemed to be a bit out of his depth as it was very busy, but Nikos taking the orders was efficient and pointed him in the right direction!

Type of food: Cretan traditional with a few extra options.

Prices, Very good value. Be careful not to over order as the portions are huge!

"Star ratings"- on the "Guzunder" scale 7.5.
- Clean, doors have locks, toilet seats present, paper and paper towels available.

Complementary raki and creme brûlée at the end of the meal

Raki on Richter scale: 8. Good raki taste, quite fiery without taking your breath away.

Would we return? Yes as soon as they reopen after their winter break.
