Spa in Georgioupolis

Ahead of my wedding I paid a visit to Georgioupolis Beauty and massage spa to find out what they offer and have a little pampering

Pedicure

For a bride a manicure is always important

I also decided to have a body scrub and facial

In a pleasant atmosphere with relaxing music

My therapist was not only experienced in beauty treatments but also a trained physiotherapist.

I visited another day to have an upper back and neck massage to relieve a stiff neck.

Brows lashes and waxing

It was a wonderful and relaxing couple of hours

Yes I would do it again!

The Spa has a range of organic cosmetics and a wide range of therapies for both beauty and health. for more information you can find them on Beauty and Wellness

Spring wedding in Paleochora

A day out on St Georges Day and a stroke of luck led us to Paleochora with its "Wedding Cake" church

The sea was calm

The weather warm, but with a bite to the breeze

...and there was a midday wedding..

The Bride walking to the church

Followed by traditional musicians

Family and friends

All making their way through the quiet streets...

..to the church for the ceremony

Just by the church was a house with a jumble of colourful flowers in pots

The Cafeterias were quiet

Some closed to allow the proprietors chance to attend the wedding

We wandered over to the beach

Quiet and peaceful before the start of the season

"Chairs to mend.."

We stopped at the taverna Castellos overlooking the sea for lunch

Tuna salad, beetroot, red peppers and dakos - delicious

Knossos style murals on the walls

(and by the way the 'facilities' were modern and excellent)

Then down to the harbour

An interesting statue on the beach

Star gazing..
